Separators, decanters and centrifuges for food, yeast and starch
During the production of starch, yeast, and in the broad spectrum of the food production industry, centrifuges have become a permanent fixture in the manufacturing process. Whether you are looking for separators (self-cleaning disk separators, nozzle separators), for the clarification or separation of liquids, decanters for the concentration (clarifying decanter, tricanter®, sedicanter®), or whether you require other industrial centrifuges such as scraper centrifuges for dewatering of starch milk—Centrimax offers more than 500 previously owned centrifuges from its permanent inventory.
Our in-house general overhaul of separators, decanters, and centrifuges guarantees you the optimum reliability. All equipment comes with new PLC control systems and thus, can be easily integrated into the production process.
For the application in the food industry, for yeast and starch, we recommend our pre-owned and factory-rebuilt separators from renowned manufacturers such as GEA Westfalia Separator, Alfa Laval, Flottweg GmbH, etc. We also offer centrifuges made by Andritz Separation (Krauss Maffei - KMPT), etc.
Separators for food, yeast and starch
Centrimax supplies factory- and service-rebuilt separators with warranty for use in the starch industry.
The so called Food Ingredients or starter cultures are used for example in yoghurt or sausage. They will be produced with use of sterilizable disc-stack separators.
Algae form polyunsaturated fatty acids, proteins, enzymes, vitamins, minerals and trace elements at high concentration. Astaxanthin is obtained which is a natural carotenoid used, for example, to intensify the red color of salmon or caviar substitute. Dunaliella salina is a popular source of beta carotene. The green alga Chlorella is in demand principally for its high vitamin and mineral content. Among the blue-green algae, which as cyanobacteria are not algae in the strict scientific sense, the current star is Spirulina.
A separator provide an environmentally-friendly and cost-effective process for the treatment of the stickwater in the form of protein recovery by evaporation and centrifugal separation.
In the process of gelatine production, centrifuges are
responsible for clarifying and separating the thin gelatine. They reduce the strain imposed on down-stream filtration as well as the fat content to a minimum.
The intracellular component of yeast, the so-called yeast extract, is now an essential part of the food sector.
A- and B-starch, gluten, bran and protein coagulates may be produced with the help of centrifugal separating technologies. Three-phase nozzle separators may be employed to separate A- and B-starches while clarification separators may be used for cleaning the process water.
Nozzle separators may be used in corn-starch production to concentrate mill starch, to achieve primary separation, to recover starch and to concentrate gluten.
Potato starch may be produced with decanters and three-phase nozzle separators. Separators may be used in the concentration and washing processes, i.e. the separation of starch milk into starch, water and fibres.
Both two- and three-phase nozzle separators may be used in the production of root starch (tapioca, manioc, cassava) to separate the starch milk.
A multi-stage set-up with three-phase separators may be used in the production of rice starch to concentrate and wash the starch. Decanters may subsequently be used to remove water from the starch.
Decanters for food, yeast and starch
Centrimax supplies factory- and service-rebuilt decanters with warranty for use in the starch industry.
Decanters and separators are used for clarifying molasses.
Decanters are ideal for recovering the valuable substances from the various raw materials quickly, cleanly and with high yields.
A- and B-starch, gluten, bran and protein coagulates may be produced with the help of centrifugal separating technologies. Three-phase decanters and three-phase nozzle separators may be employed in the classification, concentration, washing and water-removal processes.
Centrifugal separating technologies may be used in the shape of decanters in corn-starch production to remove water from the gluten and fine fibres.
Potato starch may be produced with decanters and three-phase nozzle separators. Decanters may be used for separating the amniotic fluids and removing water from pulp.
Decanters may be used in the production of root starch (tapioca, manioc, cassava) to separate the amniotic fluids and to remove water from pulps.
Decanters may be used in rice-starch production to remove water from the starch.
Centrifuges for food and starch
Centrimax supplies factory- and service-rebuilt centrifuges with warranty for use in the starch industry.
Centrifuges are in use for frutose, milk sugar salt and many more.
Peeler centrifuges may be used to mechanically remove water from starch milk.
